Founded in 2017, AKROCEAN is a young company that provides data collected at sea as a service. Akrocean deploys and operates stabilised floating buoys at sea that are self-sufficient in (renewable) energy around the world. With more than 30 campaigns at sea and a hundred years of accumulated data, Akrocean is a leader in its sector.
Our buoys are fitted with a wide range of environmental observation instruments to provide our customers with offshore data collected in situ. These data are mainly intended to provide precise knowledge of the conditions (deposits, environmental impact, etc.) in a specified offshore area for industrial purposes (development and financing of offshore wind or other marine energy projects).

Job description
STRATEGY
– Propose, implement and manage the APAC zone strategic action plan
– Participate in the Strategic Committee on request
COMMERCIAL PROSPECTING
– Maintain relationships with current and potential customers
– Take part in responding to calls for tender in the APAC zone and ensure follow-up
– Carry out final negotiations with customers
– Search for new partners and ensure contractualization – Maintain existing network
– Participate in international trade shows and conferences in Vietnam and the APAC region.
MARKETING & COMMUNICATION
– Participate in the development of the Asia marketing and communication plan
– Identify APAC events in line with strategy / Prepare events and business trips
– Develop communication on LinkedIn networks / Flyers / Posters for the APAC region
– Produce communication media and manage goodies
QUALITY MANAGEMENT
– Implement QHSE and Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements.
– Actively participate in maintaining the effectiveness of the IMS and in continuous improvement.
– Promote continuous improvement of the IMS for APAC zone activities.
TEAM MANAGEMENT
– Manage the APAC sales team
– Liaise with the company’s head office in France and the local umbrella company
REPORTING
– Report weekly to your line manager
– Takes part in the weekly management coordination meeting
– Alert your line manager if necessary
– Make suggestions for improvement on all subjects within his/her remit
OFFICE MANAGEMENT
– Ensure the administrative management of the APAC office (HR relays, umbrella company relations, equipment management, internal communications, etc.).
Background
Education: Commercial / Management Master degree
Experience: from 5 years in similar position
Spoken language: Fluent in English and French, Vietnamese will be favorably considered
Conditions
Wage portage contract
Permanent position with 6 months trial period
Salary to be negotiated based on profile and experience.
Frequent travels to APAC region (~10 weeks a year)
1 month training in France after onboarding
